Product Description

The Handy Kaufmans, New Jersey’s foremost underachieving rock band, are about to embark on one final tour. Either they make it big this time or they resign themselves to a life of 9-to-5 mediocrity. Lee, their drummer, is a control freak and being pushed out by his retiring parents. Donnie, lead singer and compulsive lothario, and Big Frank, the incompetent but gold-hearted manager, are always causing mischief. Mike, the chief song-writer, tries to emulate the tortured-artist lifestyle of the icons he idolizes. When their bassist, Jim, electrocutes himself, the band is joined by last-minute replacement Trixie, a wild beauty and bassist who sparks up Lee’s dormant romantic instincts.
